Sunday 20th to Thursday 24th November 2022- 4 nights
Join us in our home county of Lincolnshire, a vastly underrated location for Wildlife watching.
In winter it comes alive with the Grey Seal colony at Donna Nook where over 2000 pups are born at this time of year. Experience this at close quarters before getting whisked off to see large numbers of waders and maybe Snow Buntings along the coast. One afternoon we will see the Starlings coming into roost under the scrutiny of the local Peregrines and Sparrowhawks.
A visit to a raptor roost site should enable views of Hen Harrier and Short Eared Owls with Barn Owls seen at many locations around the county. Along the bank of the Humber colossal flocks of waders interact with the tide, where a visit to a local reedbed should reward us with close views of Bittern and Bearded Tits. We will cover many local lakes and reservoirs to see the variety of waterfowl with large mixed finch flocks and inland Plover flocks are guaranteed at this time of year.
With big skies and uninterrupted views this promises to be a trip that will live long in the memory.
