SPRING on the SOMERSET LEVELS and the COASTAL MARSHES.
14TH TO 18TH MAY 2021
BIRDS, INSECTS, MAMMALS and FLORA.
SPRING is a great time to visit this unique area of Britain. With many previous visits GREENSPACES will show you the best it has to offer, from the whispering reedbeds of the levels to the recently created Steart Coastal Marshes. Bitterns, Egrets, Cranes, Harriers, and maybe an Otter if we are lucky. We are bound to see Hobbies chasing the myriad of Dragonflies and Damselflies. Whilst Warblers, Flycatchers and Dippers may be seen in the woodlands of the North Devon Coast. Based centrally in Bridgewater we will find the best that the area has on offer, take a ride on the West Somerset Heritage Railway, take in a glass of scrumpy or maybe a cream tea.
